PNB - TRADITIONAL BUSH PLANTS AND THEIR USES WITH JESS SINNOTT

Jess Sinnott will talk about traditional bush plants and their uses as both food and medicine and their nutritional profile. She will also bring along a few delicious dishes for us to sample that use traditional ingredients!

Jess is an owner and educator from the indigenous company Koori Kinnections which runs catering and educational programs for people of all ages: from bush food cooking classes to school incursions, guided bush walks, resource talks,  weaving workshops and much more. It is a 100% Aboriginal owned and employed company in Sydney's Northern Suburbs.

Jess Sinnott is a Yuin and Wailwan womanliving in Sydney. She has gained a wealth of knowledge about Aboriginal culture, history, and heritage from her family, community and co-workers. Jess has also worked as an Aboriginal Education Officer and Tour Guide for a number of renowned tourist attractions and organisations.

All welcome entry free for members, visitors by donation

At our monthly meetings we have a Fair Share and Swap table for seedlings, seeds, relevant books, CDs, DVDs, pot plants and other items. We also bring a plate of food to share at the end of the meeting.  All contributions welcomed. This month also bring any bush plants growing in your garden to share or identify or get creative with your own bush tucker recipe!.
