Living Skills: Wild Mushroom Hunt
From March till mid-May, it is time to go wild mushroom picking! The famous PSN mushroom hunt is on again in 2017. After plenty of rain this season looks to be very bountiful - the mushrooms started growing in big numbers in early March! Your guide will be Peter Pez.
As we do every year, we will go to one of the State Forests beyond Blue Mountains, identify and collect edible mushrooms, then prepare a scrumptious lunch.
The registrations are open to members only.
WHAT TO BRING
Small knife, fork, eating bowl/plate, water, drinks (wine if you wish), and a perforated container for collected mushrooms (wicker or plastic baskets are the best). Be warned that we do pick a lot so don’t bring something too small.
Please wear good walking shoes and warm clothes, including rain gear.
For registration please click the button to the left or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We meet in Blackheath at 9 am, from where we will drive for about 1 hr to one of State Forests.
