International Permaculture Day, Sunday, May 7th, 2017
Two events sponsored by PSN this year will take place in permaculture gardens:
At the Permapatch Community Garden (10:30am-4pm)
there will be free morning tea and later some wood-fired pizza, guided tours and garden problem solving. A crop swap hosted by Crop Swap Sydney will start at 11:30. You are invited to bring your excess home-grown produce or something home-made such as jam or cakes. The Repair Café Sydney North will be open from 1pm with free afternoon tea and live ukulele entertainment, as you get your items fixed free of charge, inside the church hall.

A private urban permaculture garden at 14 Burmah Road, Denistone, will be open from 10am-4pm:
This property belongs to PSN Living Skills Co-ordinator, Margaret Mossakowska. Come for an opportunity to visit an award-winning food garden which featured in ABC Gardening Australia show.
Talk to experienced gardeners from PSN who will be available at the permaculture stall; swap your garden produce at the Crop Swap Sydney table; listen to a talk on native bees and taste wild honey with Sydney Native Bees; go for a wild food foraging walk with Diego Bonetto (bookings essential); buy seedlings and cuttings of useful plants. Or you could just leisurely stroll through the garden, take photos and have a cuppa.
