LEARN TO PRUNE YOUR FRUIT TREES.

Ku-ring-gai Local Group and the Education team offer -

A practical session (with a little theory to start with), by qualified horticulturist and trainer, Victoria Walker.

JUST 2 weeks away so pop it in your diary, & confirm your attendance asap.

Sunday 15th July 2012 - 2PM to 4PM (Address to be supplied on acceptance)

This is a hands-on session so bring your secateurs, loppers, pruning saws or whatever you have.

And bringing a small nibble for afternoon tea would be appreciated.

Victoria will start with the basics – good and bad cuts, tools, hygiene, etc. and then demonstrate the different techniques for citrus, deciduous and evergreen trees. This will be a practical guided demonstration, on Di’s very unruly older fruit trees, and some initial training of some baby trees.

Then it’s your turn, with Victoria’s guidance to make the trees beautiful and, hopefully, fruitful. We may have time for an espalliering demonstration as well.

The cost is $20 per person, payable at the workshop.

Please let us know if you are coming by accepting attendance on the website ... OR

Contact either Peter Wright at peters.gaia.gardens@gmail.com or Diana Evans at devans2@optusnet.com.au or by phone on 0294161896

Hope to see you all then.
