Next Ku-ring-gai Local Group meeting Saturday 9th 2-5pm

Banana pup harvest at Diana’

At the next Ku-ring-gai local group meeting we will be harvesting some of Diana’s excess banana trees from her garden and doing a demo of using spent banana trunks as planters for seedlings.

If you have been thinking of setting up your own “Banana Circle” at home then you need to come along to this meeting.

We will look at the basics of setting up a banana circle, best placement, and their benefits for the garden. Then we will demonstrate how to extend the usefulness of a spent banana tree by using them as “nurse logs” for seedlings. I will also bring along some examples of other products made from the humble banana tree.

It should be an inspiring and fun afternoon and best of all you get to take home your own banana pup if you like.

Let us know your coming by registering, bring a smile, a spade and something tasty to shear with the others and we will provide the rest.
