PSN Monthly Meeting November 18 - 7PM

Do you want to know why dirt, poo, and worms are so important to life and soul?

Then come along and listen to ecologist Peter Rutherford talk about why he loves to get his hands dirty, at the November gathering of Permaculture Sydney North (PSN) at the Lindfield Community Centre, on Monday 18th November at 7pm. All welcome!

Peter Rutherford is the Senior Ecologist at Kimbriki Eco House and Garden in Terry Hills - where he has worked for over 12 years. Peter is a social ecologist, horticulturist and educator with an extensive knowledge of soils and microbes and the sciences of composting and worm farming. With an infectious passion for sustainable living, Peter inspires both adults and children to live more sustainably.

Peter has taught in schools, co-designed and presented the Environment Protection Authority’s Earthworks and the Waste Board’s Healthy Gardens courses and has authored many articles, books and videos. Peter has been both guest and presenter on ABC’s popular Gardening Australia as well as appearing on various gardening and lifestyle television programs promoting the benefits of composting and worm farming.

At our November meeting, Peter will be speaking on "Sustaining Communities – Food & Health for the Soul/Soil. Organic Principles made clear." He will address questions such as: What is a Sustainable Community? What is Ecology? What is Deep Ecology? What can each of us do to help? And most importantly he will explain why:

Healthy Soils = Healthy Food = Healthy People.

Come and learn about these vital issues and what you can to do keep your family healthy & happy. Come and 'soothe your soul'.

A man with many talents, Peter will open by playing some 'soul-soothing music' on his Swiss steel 'Hang Drum.

Please join PSN and Peter on Monday 19th November, 7pm (supper at 8:30pm) at the Lindfield Community Centre, 259 Pacific Highway, Lindfield.

$5 non-members. Free for PSN members. Be early! Please join us for supper afterwards and bring a mug for tea.
