Permaculture Sydney North Teams
PN teams are active in implementing permaculture projects, lobbying decision-makers, educating the public, seed saving, learning skills, and attending shows. If you have a little time, we invite you to lead or assist in the exciting projects under way with our Teams.
Garden TeamThe Garden Team co-ordinates working bees throughout the year to work on members' gardens. To have your garden worked on or for design input, members need to work on two other gardens beforehand. The working bees have successfully installed ponds and aquatic systems, greywater systems, and strawbale structures. See more on The Garden Team Page |

Living Skills TeamThe Living Skills Team learns to 'make stuff'. As the peaking of oil production drives a return to local economies, we may need to be able to preserve food and to make soap, fabrics, and clothes. This team has fun doing those things and more. Join this team to learn many exciting skills your grandparents probably had! |

Education TeamThe Education Team works to meet the growing demands from community groups for permaculture information. The education team may visit sustainable events or local groups and offer talks on specialised areas. Permaculture North hopes to outreach to most marginalised groups in the community and into areas where we will be most effective. The Education Team works on developing posters and information sheets which are provided to the public for a donation to cover printing costs. |
Advocacy TeamThe Advocacy Team makes representations, on behalf of Permaculture Sydney North, to all 3 tiers of government with regard to issues relating to permaculture and sustainability that are of concern to PSN members. Read the Advocay Team Page Letters archive. |

Seed Savers GroupA bridgehead between PSN and The Seedsavers Network this group meets monthly at the Bidgiwong Baulklum Hills Council Community Nursery to swap seeds, learn propagation and seed collecting skills. A lot of heritage and unusal plants owe their existence to the good work from these people. A seedy table with interesting offerings is usually on display at the monthy PSN meeting.
