I have a raised garden bed made from a metal water tank with no bottom in which I have used drip irrigation in the past. I would like to convert it into a wicking bed. Has anyone done this successfully?

    Hi Sue

I came across this Milkwook posting which seems to confirm your plans.  They have also built a worm farm within the wicking bed to increase functionality.

Ill keep looking for more information.

Thanks Shawn. I've been looking on the internet but hadn't found this one. My main concern is the overflow as I thought that I'd have to drill a hole through the tank for an overflow pipe, but this is probably an easier solution to the overflow.

    Hi Sue

I'm sure you are well on your way with your wicking bed, though I came across this helpful article on them, an example of their constructions, with photos.
