    Hi there

I am currently a member of Permaculture North and also the interim secretary for a local very very new community garden in Hornsby. We have had an extraordinary permaculture plan of our future garden drawn up but we need quite a bit of earthworks to be done to create swales, gardens and pathways. we were hoping to start end of January 2017.

Can anyone recommend someone who would be able to undergo these earthworks according to permaculture principles and the garden plan. As mentioned, we are close to the Hornsby cbd.

    Cheers

    Hi Bronwyn

I do not know the size or any details of your garden, but if it is a community garden it might be quite large. I understand that Ku-ring-gai Council helped with earthworks for the Turramurra Community Garden a few years ago so Hornsby Council might be able to help you with large scale earthworks. Councils have earth moving equipment and you might be able to get a grant that will get you started. Shawn, Garden Team Leader, might have some ideas for you too. Good luck.
