    North Shore Food Waste Challenge

    The NCC has partnered with Hornsby Shire, Ku-ring-gai and Willoughby City Councils to deliver the North Shore Food Waste Challenge to these communities.  

    The Challenge workshops are FREE for all people who live in Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai and Willoughby local government areas.  Details are as follows:




    Workshop 1: An explanation of the environmental and economic impacts of food waste, shopping and menu planning

    Tuesday 6 March 2012

    6.30 – 8.30 pm

    Hornsby Shire Council Chambers

    Workshop 2: Looking at cooking with correct portion sizes, how to cook leftovers and what staples to have stored in your fridge, cupboard and freezer.

    I registered to do this workshop prior to it being displayed on the noticeboard but I think it will be a very worthwhile venture. If anybody is interested in attending and would like to car pool with me I'm happy to drive. My address is in the members directory.
