This month we have more wicking beds.
On the 29th this month we have another conversion of raised garden beds into super water efficient wicking beds.
Lorraine has four raised timber garden beds that are either “too wet or too dry” and she needs our help to make them “just right”. It will be much like what we did at Margret’s place but not as big, or as steep!
As you can see from the picture bellow there are basically two beds with the “L” shaped one at the back being divided into three sections. The soil needs to be dug out’ liners, gravel, drainage and geo-textile put in before topping off with the soil. If anyone missed Margret’s wicking bed spectacular and want to see first hand how it’s done this would be the perfect opportunity.
If you want to come don't forget to register, AND about the old bits of carpet I mentioned, and you wanted to donate to this permabee, well I managed to scrounge up enough for the job so thanks but we don't need it now .
Other than that just bring along your sweet selves along with your boots, hats, gloves & sunscreen and we should have an enjoyable day in Lorraine’s garden.
