Repair Café Northside open

February 14th, 1-4 pm

The PSN Willoughby local group opens The Northside Repair Cafe again on Sunday, February 14.

Do you have :

...a wobbly chair, a missing shirt button, a favourite jumper with moth holes, a favourite pair of shoes that need mending?

Please bring along your broken items for repair:
- Simple jewellery repairs
- Bring your kitchen knives, secateurs and other pruning tools along, and learn how to sharpen them.
- Repairs to broken toys
- sewing repairs to clothes
- small woodworking repairs using glue & clamps

Also, demonstrations between 2 to 3 pm:
2pm Demo - How to re-string a broken pearl necklace - demonstrating knotted re-stringing techniques.
2.15 Demo - using glue to repair shoe soles
2.30 Demo - using scrap leather to make small pouches.
3pm Tour of the Permapatch Community Garden (in its full summer glory)
3 - 4pm children's activity - making a marble runway using cardboard boxes and cardboard tubes.

There will be also cappuccino and home-made cakes, including gluten-free and dairy-free delicacies.

Please NOTE:
Our next Repair Cafe dates will be Sunday 6th and Sunday 13th March - but check for confirmation closer to the date.
