In preparation of Margaret and Chris's International Permaculture Day (IPD) open garden in May, we will be helping make the garden look wonderful! We want it at its best to encourage and educate members of the public who visit.
The main task will be constructing a safer and extended chook enclosure in the 'chicken forest.' This will allow the hens to be outside for a number of days without worry. This involves laying pavers, digging in support poles and installing galvanised wire fence panels as well.
There is always mulch to move to tidy up the numerous swales and garden beds, continuing the ongoing task of building organic material.
As will all permabees, there are numerous tasks suitable for all levels of involvement.
Margaret will be providing lunch, something we all look forward to.
Come join the activities, and see a well established permaculture garden in action.
