Our first 2017 Permabee is at Nita's garden in Middle Cove.

Nita just completed her PSN Introduction to Permaculture and is keen to start on her plan to create a Food Forest.

An initial task will be to help her improve her sandy soil by helping her build a Swale and Bund with the assistance of a dumpy and A frame onsite to demonstrate how to determine the contours required.

We will also create a new Keyhole Garden with bricks Nita has collected.

We will then build Bee Hotels in the afternoon, using old bed slats, bamboo and branches Nita has collected from around the neighbourhood. After all anything we can build to encourage helpful bugs has got to be a great idea!

The permabee starts at 9:30 and it's important to be there on time if possible as the day will kick off with introductions, a project briefing and safety talk.

WHAT TO BRING...

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.

Please bring personal protection gear such as a enclosed shoes/ boots, hat, gloves, sunscreen and a water bottle.

The address will be provided once registration has been completed. The address is within the emailed confirmation.

Any questions, please contact the Garden Team.
