True sustainability means growing your own food!

This is why on the Sustainable House Day on Sunday, 17th of September a permaculture garden of PSN members opens to the public!

Known as Moss House the garden can be also seen on Gardening Australia

You will have an opportunity to see elements of sustainable permaculture design in action and to taste some of the produce grown on the site. To learn about food growing and sustainable design check out the Permaculture Sydney North stall, plant sale table or Crop Swap Sydney stall (you are welcome to bring your garden crops to swap!).

For the program of the day please see the SHD website:

SHD is an initiative showcasing sustainable houses and/or gardens to the public. It gives visitors a chance to inspect firsthand houses that have been designed, built or renovated with sustainability in mind as well as the opportunity to talk to owners and receive unbiased advice.

What's more important, for permaculture practitioners SHD enables them to show permaculture designs to wider audiences by opening permaculture gardens.

There will be plenty of on-street parking on the day, but use of public transport is encouraged. Denistone Station on T1 line is just across Darvall Park and there are buses coming along Victoria Road (use West Ryde stop) and a bus interchange at Eastwood Station.
