Let your Christmas be more sustainable this year! Learn how to make Christmas decorations from recycled and natural materials, such as straws (natural or recycled plastic ones), recycled tissue or wrapping paper, pinecones and nuts. Not only you will save these materials from landfill, you also save money and will have a beautifully decorated tree :)

Come to spend time doing crafty things, no special skills needed! If you could bring some Christmas nibbles, this will bring us into a festive mood.

• materials: natural straw (round, at least 5 cm long pieces) or used plastic straws; recycled wrapping paper and tissue paper (can be slightly wrinkled); recycled postcards; small pinecones (for example, she-oak) or eucalyptus nuts
• sharp craft scissors
• a camera to take photos
