DESCRIPTION:https://permaculturenorth.org.au/event-2771306\n\n\nPermabee - 25 March - Pennant Hills\n In March we are off to visit Sue’ permaculture garden in Pennant Hills!\n \n Sue has been building her permaculture garden since 2015 and what a transformation she has made since that time – Sue’s garden is full of permaculture features such a Banana Circle\, Frog Pond\, Swales and more! Her property is a challenging one with limited sun\, steep slopes and lots of large rock shelves.\n \n On top of organising our monthly PSN Monday night member meetings and regularly attending PSN permabees\, Sue volunteers with the Ku-ring-gai Council native bee project and with Hornsby Council Bushcare and is a regular seed saver. Not sure where she finds the time\, to be honest!! \n \n\n \n The plan for this Permabee is as follows:\n \n 9:30 - Introductions\, project briefing and safety talk. Projects for the day:\n * Building a hot compost\n\n * Building gabion sausages to stabilise a slope\n\n 10.00 – Workshop on Hot Composting – benefits and how it works.\n 12.00 – Lunch (this will be provided).\n 2.30 - Afternoon Tea (bring your own to share - or not!).\n 4.00 – Wrap Up and debrief.\n \n\n \n Come for a couple of hours or the whole day. We have plenty of activities for people with different skills. You don’t have to be Mr. Muscle to come and join us. You just need to have an appetite for learning\, getting your hands dirty and having a laugh.\n \n Space is limited to 20 spots\, so register early and don’t miss out!\n \n WHAT TO BRING...\n * Lunch will be provided but feel free to bring a plate to share for afternoon tea.\n\n\n * Please bring personal protection gear such as enclosed shoes/ boots\, hat\, gloves\, sunscreen and a water bottle.\n\n\n * The address will be provided once registration has been completed. The address is within the emailed confirmation\, towards the bottom of the email.\n\n\n * Any questions\, please contact the Garden Team - garden@permaculturenorth.org.au \n\n\n \n\n
