  • Lindfield Community Hall, 259 Pacific Highway, Lindfield

Australia's Environmental Law

Are we making a difference in fighting to protect the environment in Australia?

Australia’s nature defines our country, feeds us and keeps us alive. But by every major measure, the living world that provides our clean air and water, builds our soil, pollinates our crops and keeps us in good health is suffering a death by a thousand cuts.

And it’s all happening behind closed doors. So in 2013, a group of nature organisations came together to protect nature from the greatest peril of all : political apathy.

Suzanne will give us a snapshot of the funny, scandalous and often frustrating life on the front trenches of Australia’s largest - and quietest - environmental fight.

As the National Nature Campaign Manager at the Wilderness Society, she works on a range of nature campaigns to protect the places we all love. Her expertise is in national environmental policy, focussing in particular on ecosystem function, sustainable agriculture and development, and oceans conservation.

Free for members, small donation for guests.

Doors open at 6:30pm - a good time to check out our members' library & catch up with other PSN members.

Please join us for supper after the talk.
