Permabee - Saturday 21 July - Mt Colah

Keep warm this winter and come and join us at Matthew and Katerina’s Garden!

Matthew and Katerina are fellow permies with an exciting challenge ahead of them – they have just moved into their place and have a blank canvas to start their permaculture garden.

Planned activities for the day will include:

  • Project A: Converting a section lawn into a garden bed. Current idea is to put a gabion wall along the bottom edge and order a load of soil to back fill against it.
  • Project B: Install a cover over an existing large hoop house.
  • Project C: Converting a large paved area into a path with garden beds.
  • Project D: Extending existing edible hedge along the side of the driveway by building up the soil and planting the other edible plants.

As you can see there are plenty of activities for everyone. So come for a couple of hours or the whole day and help us transform Matthew and Katerina’s garden.

You don’t have to be Mr.Muscle to come and join us. You just need to have an appetite for learning, getting your hands dirty and having a laugh.

Space is limited to 15 spots, so register early and don’t miss out!

The permabee starts at 9:30 and it's important to be there on time if possible as the day will kick off with introductions, a project briefing and safety talk.
