Royal Rehab Productive Garden Project - Productive gardening as a context and mechanism for rehabilitation
PSN member, Julie Pryor, presents on how a productive garden was introduced as part of inpatient rehabilitation programs at Royal Rehabilitation. Julie was instrumental in the development of this initiative in 2015.
The garden, tended by patients during their therapy sessions, grows edibles and their companion plants. Produce from the garden is also used by patients in meal preparation sessions.
Come hear how gardening has supported patients back into usual life, and how staff, patients and volunteers contribute to its success.
Free for members, small donation for guests.
Doors open at 6:30pm - a good time to check out our members' library & catch up with other PSN members.
Please join us for supper after the talk.
