CHRISTMAS FRUIT CAKE 

WREATH MAKING

Saturday 23rd November  2.00pm to 4.00pm


Deb and Fay will be taking us through the steps of making a Christmas Fruit Cake.  (If you were at the meeting on Monday 18th August there was some of the delicious cake).

The fruit and dry ingredients will be supplied.   We will chop and weigh the fruit and flour and spices ready for you to take home and marinate.   We will also line a square cake tin.

Each will take home:

     Full Instructions

     1.5kg of cut dried fruit ready to soak at home

     1 container of the dried ingredients ready to add your own honey, butter & eggs.


You will need to bring to jars / containers large enough for the above ingredients

The workshop is limited to 12 members.

The cost of the workshop is $27.00.  When we have final numbers, Deb and Fay will be able to purchase the ingredients for the Cake and if the total cost is less, the difference will be refunded to you.

To round up after the Christmas Cake making we will talk about Christmas wreaths and we will aim at making one together. We will use materials from the garden - wisteria branches, ivy, gum nuts, etc.  Have a look through your garden for materials and ideas. Bring any materials you think can be used.
