Do you want to see the values and solutions of permaculture become imbeded in the way our Local, State and Federal Governments set their agendas, agree policy and pass laws? Do you want more people to understand how permaculture can improve and lives of many while also protecting and enhancing our natural world?

Join our next monthly meetings via Zoom to hear how we can all get more engaged, and also how you can join our PSN Advocacy team.

Our speaker, Garth Newton is a volunteer for The Wilderness Society (TWS) and a community organising trainer.

Since retiring from 40 years of high-school science teaching, Garth has been using his teaching and adult education skills to train volunteers and others in the community, including teaching TWS's Fundamentals of Community Organising course in Sydney, Newcastle and now online for the past two and a half years.

Garth will give us a taste of this training, and share how TWS's own Sydney North group has been campaigning to reduce plastic pollution entering local waterways and to get the NSW government take more action on sustainability and the circular economy.
