Free talk - Introduction to Seed Saving
The PSN North Sydney/Mosman Local Group is working to build a local bank of fruit and vegetable seeds which members can use to share and grow heirloom varieties suited to our region.
Peter Pezzolesi is giving an introductory talk to locals from North Sydney and Mosman, plus a demonstration of ancient seed saving techniques including husking, straining and winnowing. He will also show how to properly store seeds, and how to use the bank.
These are essential skills for selecting and keeping heirloom seeds for future generations, and this will also be a great way to meet locals from your area that are passionate about the genetic future of food.
Attendance is free for PSN members, to register for this event please click the button on the left.
What to bring?
Bring a plate for an end of year bite to eat. Peter will be providing his famous apple cider.
