RANDOM BASKET WEAVING
SATURDAY 19TH JUNE 10am - 4pm
Join us for an exciting day as Sally Blackwell teaches us how to weave baskets using natural ingredients found in your garden.
"I am a firm believer that everything has an inherent value and should not be wasted. I have been experimenting with natural fibres, grasses, vines, recycled materials and other materials found in my local environment to turn what might have been wasted into something that is useful and pleasing to the eye, hence my logo - waste not fibre. Each piece is unique, drawing from whatever comes to hand that sparks my imagination." – Sally Blackwell
You will learn how to use vines, twigs, leaves and seed pods to create a beautiful basket. All materials will be supplied. A creative activity that requires no experience. We will also discuss what types of natural fibres are best for random weaving and how to harvest and store them.
