Good For The Hood on reducing waste
Since 2018, Good for the Hood has been empowering ordinary people to create change across neighbourhoods, community groups, and workplaces. The business was founded on the back of a grassroots community campaign to encourage people and business in the City of Ryde to lower their use of single-use plastics.
Our speaker Anna Hope is passionate about using her interior design, and marketing and communications background to bring change in the community and believes "good design can make a big impact."
She is a strong advocate of preservation and planning for the future, which has seen her working with fellow 'place-makers' in her hometown to highlight their need for progressive transport infrastructure, and the retention of significant community spaces.
She has also worked with passionate change makers at The Generous and the Grateful and The Reconnect Project where she worked in the marketing and communications space to address preservation and how we treat existing resources.
Given we're back in lockdown, we'll be doing this via Zoom.
