Since 2000, global clothing production has doubled. It's fed by ruthless 'fast fashion' brands and is creating an environmental catastrophe.

This was the message of yet another story about clothing over-consumption, this time from ABC's Foreign Correspondent – Dead white man's clothes. It centred on the growing number of poor-quality clothes arriving at Accra's Kantamanto second-hand clothing Market – a major driver of Ghana’s waste crisis.

This prompted many discussions between PSN members, so we thought we'd have an informative social evening where we can share our stories and ideas of how we reuse, repurpose and recycle our clothing.
