The Big WET – tales and tips from the soggy frontline
7pm Monday 21st March
Lindfield Seniors Community Hall, 259 Pacific Hwy and Zoom

Even if we didn't have our homes flooded, many of us in Northern Sydney are struggling to deal with the results of this extremely wet summer and the crazy March deluge. Lawns turning to marshlands, paths being washed away, drought proof gardens now full of over-watered plants, and OMG – the mould!

Join us at Lindfield (or dial in on Zoom) for a light-hearted, but informative session, where we share ideas and stories on:

  • Mould – the best ways to clean it up
  • Rescuing waterlogged plants
  • Diverting the new creek/waterfall running through your garden – practical ideas and ethics
  • What’s this new term “sponge city” and how do we create sponge gardens?
  • Encouraging mangroves to grow in your new swamp
  • Rehoming the spiders, snakes, ants and lizards that moved in to escape the water
  • Teaching your chooks to swim.

Fully vaccinated members are welcome to join us in person at Lindfield Hall, or you can dial in on Zoom.

Please register if you are attending in person.

We will serve tea and coffee in the hall after the speaker.
