Soil workshop Lindfield
Sunday 24th April 2.00pm
This is a basic workshop about soil.
We will look at the composition of soils, and its animal, vegetable and mineral components.
We will talk about different soil textures, types of soil that you might encounter, and the nutrients and micronutrients that are already in your soil, and how to adjust if necessary. We will test soil from your garden for pH (a measure of acidity/ alkalinity) and discuss how this may affect growth of plants.
Bring a sample of soil from your garden or from the pots on your balcony.
Also bring something tasty to snack on. Tea and coffee provided.
