We will be heading to long-term member Siew's place at Dee Why to assist with setting up a fruit tree espalier, wicking beds and an enclosure around her vegies. Time permitting, we may also rejuvenate the banana circle.

This is a great opportunity to see an established permaculture garden with aquaponics, poultry, fruit trees, grape arbor, and to chat with an experienced permie about their permaculture journey.

There will be a range of seedlings or cuttings available to attendees on the day including: native raspberry, banana pups, yakon, black grape, stinging nettle, pineapple sage, arrowroot and fig. We may also be able to collect seaweed at the beach if washed up on the sand.

During the day we will:
* Upgrade Siew's animal exclusion structure to keep out furry critters
* Establish new wicking beds
* Set up fruit tree espalier wires and move fruit trees into place
* Potentially set up a new banana circle and prune or graft fruit trees
* Share a cuppa and lunch, chat and mingle.

What to bring: Gloves, secateurs, water, your own mug for tea/coffee, something to share for morning tea.

What to wear: Sturdy closed-in shoes, a hat, sunscreen.

Lunch will be provided.

Spaces are limited.  If you book and then cannot attend, please let us know so someone else can take your place.
