Visit a working mushroom farm in Woy Woy

Tuesday 11th October 10.30.am

Margins Mushrooms is a family  owned business producing White, Swiss Brown and Oyster mushrooms in an old factory at Woy Woy

They offer informative tours of the factory, but only on week days, as on weekends they sell at local markets. The tours are about one and a half hours and cost $20 per person. -this includes a bag of fresh mushrooms.

They also sell large bags of mushroom compost,

I have tentatively booked a tour for PSN for Tuesday 11th October at 10 30 am.

The minimum number for a tour is 15, so we would need definite bookings as soon as possible and  at least a week before.  Their website https://marginsmushrooms.com.au

Woy-Woy is about an hour’s drive from Lindfield so we would try to organize car pooling.

A picnic lunch afterwards would be pleasant in a lookout on the way home, so bring a light picnic lunch.

Optional extra

While in the area those of us who want could join us in visiting the

Bulgandry Aboriginal Art Site

A ten-minute walk from Woy Woy road (which is on the way home) Bulgandry Aboriginal art site has well-preserved carvings from Guringai People.

“Walk along the relaxing footpath in the bush and view some of the clearest and sharpest Aboriginal engravings on the Central Coast”.  There  is more info at  https://www.icentralcoast.com/bulgandry.html

Please Register- money to be refunded if we don’t get the numbers.

Please let me know if I can assist car pooling by letting other participants know your contact number.
