BEADING / JEWELLERY MAKING
15th July - 2.00pm to 4.00pm
North Wahroonga
Come and join the Living Skills team and learn beading/jewellery making with Maryanne. It is creative, fun and you can actually wear the things you make and they make wonderful gifts.
For those who have the basic skills, you can use the beads on hand (or bring your own) and make something special for yourself while absorbing the creative energy flowing around you.
You can make your own earings, pendants, necklace, bracelet or key ring. You can make one or all. The choice is yours.
You will learn -
* How to use basic hand tools such as straight and round nose pliers
* Open and close jump rings and create simple wire loops - vital skills needed in jewellery projects
* Use tiger tail to make necklaces and crimping
* What is the difference between a head pin and an eye pin?
* What are findings?
All materials, including beads, are supplied.
If you have any special beads at home that you don't know what to do with, you are welcome to bring them with you and we can put our creative caps on and help you create a special necklace, bracelet or earings.
