Margaret is opening her  very special garden to the public on International Permaculture Day. For it to look its best, she needs helping hands to top-up swales and cover some paths with cedar woodchips. There is some weeding and tidying up to be done as well.

The main project for the day though is building two wicking beds from an IBC. It needs to be cut in half and both parts positioned in the garden. There were a couple of PSN gardens where an IBC was made into a wicking bed recently, if you have some experience with how to do that, your help would be appreciated!

For anyone who has yet to see Margaret's garden, this is a great opportunity to see  permaculture design in action! There is lots to see and lots to learn.Plus, it's fun!

There will be a lunch for everyone who comes, and you are welcome to take cuttings and divided plants from the garden. Come for the day, or a few hours, Every little bit helps.

This is a free event for members only. Don't forget to bring your water bottle, gardening gloves, hat, sun block, and sturdy boots. Something to share  for afternoon tea would be nice too! Each person is responsible for their own Covid protection.

Address available on registration.
