This month's permabee is being held in Matt and Katerina's garden at Mt. Colah on 28th May. Here we have a perfect example of permaculture garden design, with too many features to ennumerate.

But past weather events and a lack of capacity over the last spring and summer season have left the soil depleted of organic matter. Straw bale gardening provides a method of growing crops and producing compost at the same time. On this permabee, we will prep and condition the bales as well as learn about straw bale gardening and soil microbiology

Come along for the day or a few hours and help set up Matt and Katerina's straw bale garden. It will be interesting and fun! Permies new and old have lots to learn here. if we have enough volunteers and time, there are other projects on the list ,first of which is putting in a large pond.

Lunch will be provided. Don't forget to wear protective clothing and closed shoes.Dress for the weather. Bring your gloves, water bottles and anything excess to needs that others can use. Something to share for afternoon tea would be nice too.

Because of insurance requirements, this permabee is open to members only. Each person is responsible for their own Covid protection. The address will be supplied on registration.
