This month our guest speaker will be Adina Oosterwijk who has been a Community Greening Officer since 2021.
Community Greening is the outreach arm of Botanic Gardens Sydney. They take horticulture on the road to support students and vulnerable community members by creating community-led gardens in social housing estates across New South Wales. The program has been running for 20+ years and has served over 150,00 participants.
Adina supports gardens and communities across the Sydney region.
She comes from generations of women who grow food and flowers and foster deep connections to nature. With a background in Family Sciences and Child Development, she has applied her qualifications in permaculture and horticulture to working in environmental education and community engagement.
Doors open at 6.30pm – visit our library, check out our swap table. Please stay for supper.
Please register if you are attending in person so we can prepare the hall.
