Monthly gathering: Growing Sprouts

This month we will hear from our member Sylvia Forest about growing healthy sprouts and microgreens for a boost of vitamins and microelements.

We all know the benefits of growing our own fresh veggies and how wonderful it feels to walk out into the garden to pick something just when we want to use it. But what with space constraints and time pressures it’s not always easy. So another option is to supplement our diet with fresh, home-grown sprouts. You only need to do a quick search online for the benefits of sprouts to find how nutritious and protective they can be for your health. 

Sylvia says: I just love them for the crunch and freshness they bring to a meal and I’d love to share a few tips on how we make and use them at home. I’m also learning about micro greens so I’ll share that as well.
