Monthly gathering: Ethical & sustainable clothing with Kath & Kim from The Possibility Project
7pm Monday 19th February, Lindfield Seniors Hall

For our first Lindfield gathering for 2024 we are honoured to be hosting a lovely pair of guest speakers – founders of the Sydney social enterprise, The Possibility Project, Kim Pearce and Kath Davis.

Kath & Kim will speak to us about their work on ethical & sustainable clothing, based on their own philosophy of slow fashion and circular collaboration. They describe themselves as “peaceful disruptors, using social entrepreneurship to promote restorative justice.” Check out them out on Instagram.

"Our purpose is to deliver products and projects that tell a valuable story. We believe that serious human and environmental problems are too often attached to a poverty consciousness, a belief that somehow we are not enough or we don’t have enough. We are here to help change that."  – Kath & Kim

Clothes swap
To go along with the clothing theme, we'll have a clothes swap during supper, after the speakers. It's time to rethink those ‘special’ garments or accessories that you haven’t worn for years, but can't bring yourself to put in a Vinnies bin. Get into your wardrobe and see what you can bring along, and maybe you’ll come home with a pre-loved gem. Clothes, shoes, hats, jewellery, and other accessories in good condition are all welcome.

Doors open at 6.30pm. Tea and coffee will be served. Please bring a small something to share for supper. Guest are welcome.

Please register so we know how many people to expect.
