Living Skills: Vegan Cooking Demonstration and Lunch with Permaculture Garden Tour
Sunday 3rd November 10.30am to 2.30pm
South Turramurra
If you have ever wondered what a vegan lifestyle is all about, join the Living Skills Team for this faboulous opportunity to explore the goodness, delights and tastes of Vegan Cooking. This of course is a meat, egg and dairy-free way of eating.
Lara would love to share her love of healthy cooking using plants and show us how to fuel our bodies with only natural, highly nutritious foods that taste delicious! Her entire family has been living and thriving on a whole food plant based (vegan ) lifestyle for well over a decade and even the two large and beautiful rescue dogs are plant based eaters!
Being kind to our bodies, our mother earth and our fellow animals is very important to us, especially now more than ever. Eating as many plants grown naturally can help us fight off disease and keep a healthy body and calm mind throughout our daily lives, which is so important for families and individuals. Connecting with the food we eat and knowing how and where it has been grown is highly rewarding and a wonderful experience for children and adults.
Since Troy completed his Permaculture Course both Troy and Lara have gained much from the welcoming community that has shared their knowledge and experience with them, and have been inspired to whole-heartedly put the Permaculture Principles into action in their home.
Lara and Troy will warmly open their home and garden to welcome us into the little secret garden paradise that they have created in South Turramurra. In the more than 12 years they have been there, their home and kitchen garden have evolved and grown along with their family. They will take us along on their Permaculture journey of transformation of both their front and back gardens to grow food, flowers and natives.
For the lunch we will be using organic ingredients which is so important to gain the maximum nutritional value of our foods, and the basis for most of the recipes is nuts (cashews and walnuts).
This workshop will include:
