November's permabee will be at Mandy's interesting and eclectic garden. Mandy is a long time member of PSN, was an instigator of Permapatch at Lane Cove and is currently very involved with the Repair Cafe at Lane Cove, as well as being our current President!

What she would like to achieve on the day are the beginnings of a woody meadow/prairie in a difficult area which has deep shade in winter and hot westerly sun in summer.. This will require weed suppression methods to prepare the area for the planting of various native grasses, and native and exotic flowering shrubs to attract bees and look beautiful. An interesting project, in particular in vue of the recent talk on woody meadows by Alex Austin

Lunch will be provided (including vegetarian foods) and information given on the rest of the garden to anyone interested...the Japanese garden with big koi pond and waterfall, fern garden, the Permaculture section with wicking beds, chickens, bee attracting plants, composting etc.

Please come prepared for warm to hot weather. Don't forget your hat, water, enclosed shoes and appropriate clothing. Also, a little something to share for afternoon tea!

This is a free event. Guests are welcome. Address will be supplied on Registration.

For questions or cancellations. please ring  Stephanie on 0412489263
