Workshop: Card Making
1–3pm, Saturday 15th November, Wahroonga
Unleash your creative talents and get together for an afternoon of making your own greeting cards and, using the skills you learn, you can go on to making your own cards through the year for different occasions. There is great personal satisfaction in gifting something you have made with love.
The theme is Christmas because this is the season but there are lots of ideas for you to make other cards if you prefer to – birthday, anniversary, "Just to say ...", congratulations – the list is endless and there for your to explore.
We will be creating a variety of fun and beautiful cards using different ideas and techniques.
You will also learn how to make a simple gift bag using two pieces of 30cm x 30cm cardstock.
Each person will have 10 blank cards, a roll of double sided tape, rapid set glue, several sheets of patterned cardstock and "bits & bobs" to stick on. And a completed cardstock bag to put them in.
You will also have access to Pat's stock of cardstock, cardmaking equipment, metal dies, cutters, stamps, colours, etc.
Children over 10 years are welcome but will need to be supervised by you. (There will be sharp items, scissors, cutters, so there is an age limit). You will need to register and pay for your child separately.
This event is organised by the Ku-ring-gai Local Group but is open to all PSN Members.
The workshop will be held at Pat's home in North Wahroonga – the local 575 bus from Hornsby (every 30 min) will take you within 500 m of her home or there is a bus from Turramurra station.
