Visit a working mushroom farm in Woy Woy

Tuesday 14th April 10.00am

Join the Ku-ring-gai group on a visit to a Mushroom farm. This event is open to all members. Cost is $20 per entry.

Margins Mushrooms is a family  owned business producing White, Swiss Brown and Oyster mushrooms in an old factory at Woy Woy. All mushrooms are organically grown. Mushrooms are a fungi which is made up of 90% water and are virtually calorie free. They are high in Vitamin D, Vitamin B6, protein, magnesium, iron, potassium and many other important minerals.

This is a highly informative tour of the factory which is available only on week days, as on weekends they sell at local markets. The tours are about one and a half hours and the cost includes a big bag of fresh mushrooms (worth $15) and a whole new understanding of mushrooms

The factory also sells large bags of mushroom compost at great prices.
