Winter Permabee (Rescheduled)
9.30am – 2pm Sunday 21st June, Lane Cove

Join us for a lovely day helping out two long standing members of PSN who have contributed so much for others over the years. Now it is our turn to return the favour with some People Care in the form, mainly, of sprucing up their front garden.

Come for a few hours, come for all of them!

Tasks include:

• Removing apple mint
• Whipper-snipping between raised beds
• Repurposing one of many frog ponds into a mini nursery or raised bed
• Raking up leaves
• Building a compost heap
• Weeding
• Potting up plants to take home

There will be some ‘show and tell’ activities too:

• Growing lemon aspen into a hedge
• Growing a semi-deciduous native peanut tree
•  Pumping bath water into the garden

As usual, there will be plenty of opportunity to have a chat with like-minded people and to enjoy lunch together. In order to keep the preparation to a minimum for our hosts, lunch will be a simple affair. However, if you feel like bringing a small dish to share that would be wonderful. The co-ordinator will bring a pot of soup.

The address is a short walk from Lane Cove road, where various regular bus routes run.
