Monthly Gathering: Film and Soup Night

7pm Monday 20th July, Lindfield Seniors Centre

Come and be warmed by homemade soup, a great film, and good company.

The film: Down the Carrot Hole – The Weedy Garden Movie

During the COVID lockdown of March 2020, award winning travel and commercial photographer, David Trood, was stuck at home in Northern NSW. David used his time to realise a dream that he'd had since childhood – a garden full of food! He dug, hammered and moved over 200 wheelbarrows full of topsoil to create a living paradise he called 'The Weedy Garden' – an entire food forest developed through Permaculture principles.

With his enthusiasm and camera gear, David shared the journey of food self-sufficiency through his YouTube channel. Now he's turned this into a feature film, Down the Carrot Hole, which follows the creative and visual journey and his synchronistic encounters with people along the way.

The soups: Noodle; spicy lentil & vegetable; pumpkin; nettle; and vegetable minestrone. We'll have a good supply of bread for dipping. Thank you to all those who have offered to supply food.

The cost: $5 for members (excluding those supplying food); $10 for non-members.

Doors open at 6.30pm. Come early to help set up, browse the library or find a treasure on the Reuse and Recycle table.

Please register so we know how many to expect and can ensure we have enough food.
