Northern Beaches Monthly Meet up

  • 27 Jun 2013
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Narrabeen Tramshed Arts and Community Center

Please join us on Thursday June 27th for a special evening at the Narrabeen Tramsheds.

Mayor of Warringah, Michael Regan and Councillor Vanessa Moskal are coming to officially announce the launch of our "Get Into Permaculture" information kit compiled by Permaculture Northern Beaches. Part of the information kit is a feature on Permaculture for Kids.  St John's Primary School at Naraweena held a permaculture art competition and the art work will be also displayed on the night.

In addition we have a special guest speaker Elizabeth Millen, President of the alliance of organisations working on food issues in The Sydney Basin area, 'The Sydney Food Fairness Alliance.'

Elizabeth will speak on the 'Peoples' Food Plan' also spearheaded by Costa Georgiadis.  This is about the fundamental principles of how our food is grown in Australia in the future.  The current federal government plan is gearing us up to becoming an export growing commodity country for markets in Asia and abroad.  Groups around Australia have mobilised to maintain Australian agriculture as a national resource. It is an issue of our times.  Find out more on the night.

Please book so as we can determine the numbers at:
 www.futurefoodpnb.eventbrite.com.au

The venue is Narrabeen Tramshed Arts and Community Center, Pittwater Rd Narrabeen 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
All the best. Elle and Frank
