Living Skills Workshop:
All About Seeds
Spring is in full swing, time to learn how to save seeds so you would be able to breed plants most suitable for conditions in your garden and protect heirloom plant lines.
Peter Pezzolesi will be there with the Seed Savers' seed bank
You will learn the why, when and how of seed saving.
Hear about different plant families and their seeds.
Learn how to recover seeds from different plants, clean /prepare them for storage, ways of storing and seed viability.
Learn how to ensure the best germination rate
Get to join a seed bank, swap seeds or just marvel at the varieties of edible plants
What to bring
:
a notebook to make notes
if you have a surplus, bring seeds to swap or donate to a seed bank
small containers (like old film rolls containers, seed envelopes if you have any, small jars)
