The Willoughby Local Group is combining the Nov and Dec meeting plus early Christmas party on the same day. Besides the sharing of early Christmas cheers, yummy food and drinks, Sarah will give us a tour of her garden and we can ask for tips on how to keep plants growing so well even when out of season! Plus a focus on the following topics:

  • ·         Tips on how to control garden pests  eg I will talk about my recipe for killing slugs on  1 teaspoon baking yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar about 2 cups water…it works! Beer is too expensive plus a bit too tempting on hot days!  Wendy Bishop is bringing along a spray “poss off” and will tell us how it used. So please bring along your remedies…we’ll have a healthy list to help us take some control…. Yes here we come!!!
  • ·         Jill was going to talk about her monthly visits to Seed Saver and what it involves at our last meeting but didn’t quite have the time to fit in to a very busy productive tour/ meeting.  I am sure she will be happy to share her experience for the coming meeting. I admit I have yet to visit Seed Saver.

Place: provided on completion of registration

Date: Sunday December  1st

Time: 2 to 4pm

To make sure we have a lovely diverse spread, we have asked for folks to tell us what they are bringing.

So far, we have home made dips and biscuits, alcoholic drinks,  vege rice paper rolls, home roasted almonds with herbs and spices….

There are 8 folks confirmed coming. We love to see u. Please reply to this email if you can come.

Cheers,
