PSN’s Open Gardens program kicks off on Sunday 2 March, 2-4pm (NOTE: this is a week later than previously advertised! Lucinda apologises profusely.)
Lucinda’s garden in Epping aims to show how Sustainability can be pretty! Come and visit this townhouse conversion to Permaculture demonstrating how a small suburban garden can become a more useful, edible landscape, whilst retaining an attractive character. Three main challenges have been addressed: 1) strata living, 2) a smallish space and 3) not much sun! Permaculture has, of course, provided solutions to all three. Zone 1 comprises parallel beds; keyhole beds in a mandala garden; a herb spiral. There is a Zone 2 Food Forest and a tiny bit of Zone 3, with loads of Zone 5 “down the back”! Tour notes will be provided and/ or can be emailed before or after the event.
Please register your interest to attend this tour, and to get a good look before the International Permaculture Day crowds (we would love to have you help out other PSN members on that day if you can spare a couple of hours!).
