Digging the Dirt.

Ku-ring-gai local group meeting

Sunday, 13th April - 2.00pm to 5.00pm

Our April meeting is all about soil how to enrich it, how to assess it and how to improve it.

We will meet at Liz and Morris Nakhla’s place in Gordon (address given on registration)

Liz has all the ingredients ready for us to create hot compost in the Kimbriki style (for every 5 gardeners there are 6 theories about compost).

When that is finished we will hear from Peter Crowe, who  comes from a broad acre high intensive farming background that produced seed crops such as red and white clovers, oats, barley, wheat, rye grass, fat lambs and dairy.

Peter is a keen vegetable garden grower and distributor for Nutri-Tech Solutions, a Queensland based world leader in biological and sustainable agriculture.

Peter’s presentation “What plants need  for high nutrient dense growth” covers soils, nutrients, trace elements, minerals, CEC, Power of Balance, pH, soil testing, the food web, plant roots, the microbridge, algae, bacteria, fungus,  nematodes, protozoa, arthropods and earth worms.

Please register, bring a hat and gloves and something for afternoon tea.

See you then
